At NicheDocs (“We”, “Us”, “Our”), we respect the client’s (“You”, “Your” or “User”) privacy and protect it seriously. The use of information collected through our service shall be limited to the purpose of providing the service for which our Clients have engaged us.

Limited Use Requirements 

Niche Docs respects your privacy and only obtain, use the minimum necessary information from Google APIs to provide our services. Niche Docs use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google OAuth Permissions Overview

We request specific permissions through Google OAuth to enable the app’s functionality, as explained against each permission stated below:

  1. See, edit, create, and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with this app – To manage Google docs that you write the blog posts in.
  2. View and manage documents that this application has been installed in – To read the content of the Google docs and push it to the WordPress.
  3. See, edit, create, and delete your Google Sheets spreadsheets – To create a Google Sheets file where the your site’s Analytics data is loaded from Google Analytics on a Daily basis, and allowing you to monitor performance and optimize the posts as required.
  4. View and manage your Google Analytics data – To fetch the data from Google Analytics and populate in the Google sheets, allowing you to track the posts performance in a single place.
  5. Allow this application to run when you are not present – Fetch the Google Analytics data daily and update the Google Sheets, allowing you to track the posts performance in a single place.
  6. Connect to an external service – To connect to your WordPress Rest API to push the Google Docs contents as a Post in your WordPress site.
  7. Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications – To display the Add on as a right side bar that provides interact with the WordPress Installation.

Furthermore, in addition to the above functionality, we also retrieve the current user’s email ID. This is essential for purposes such as storing NicheDocs license key validation on a per-user basis, tracking our service usage per individual user, and storing the site configurations of desired WordPress sites chosen by the user.

Additionally, If the user would like to optimize the posts based on the Google Search Console data, the user needs to provide read access to the docspush-searchconsole-service@docspush.iam.gserviceaccount.com account to read the Search console data for the specified property. With this access, the Niche Docs will show the Search console Clicks, Impressions, Average CTR and the Average Position data of a specific post in the Google Docs directly. Using this data, the user can improve/optimize the post with the missing keywords but still ranked for in Google Search and update the Post directly from the Niche Docs Sidebar. The Users Google Search Console data is used only for the display in that specific Google Docs page, and not transmitted to our database or any other services.

Data Collection and Usage

  • We collect your information with your consent. We will not collect any personal information from you unless you have given us your express consent to do so.
  • We only collect the minimum amount of information that is necessary. We only collect the personal information that we need to provide you with our services. We do not collect any personal information that is not necessary for this purpose.
  • We do not sell or share your information with anyone else. We will not sell or share your personal information with any third parties, except as necessary to provide you with our services or as required by law.
  • We collect user emails and WordPress site credentials for providing the service. We collect your email address and the WordPress site credentials to enable you publish the Google Docs content to your WordPress site. We store this information securely in our database so that we can provide you with the service.
  • We may send you service-related email announcements. We may send you email announcements about our service on rare occasions. For example, we may send you notifications about maintenance periods, technical problems, or other issues that may impact the service.
  • We gather non-personal statistical information. We automatically gather certain non-personal statistical information, such as your IP address, browser version, operating system, and date/time stamp. We store this information in cookies and log files. We use this information to analyze trends, identify potential cases of abuse, and help diagnose technical problems.
  • You can delete or deactivate your account. If your personal information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you can delete or deactivate your account. You can do this by uninstalling our Google add-on and by contacting us to remove the usage log data available with us. We will respond to your request within 5 business days.
  • We may disclose your personal information as required by law. We may disclose your personal information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, bankruptcy proceedings, or similar legal process. We may also disclose your personal information if we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our website.
